Description code - Order code - Connecting
The fitting of your choice can be defined through its description code (letters) or its order code (numbers)
Description code
 it is necessary to specify
  • The fitting type (U = Straight union, ...)
  • The fitting material (AC = cationic electropaint steel, ...)
  • The dimensions (tube and thread)
  • The o-ring material (JN = nitrile, ...)
  • The gripping components (JAB = yellow zinc coated round-ring + yellow zinc coated washer, etc ...)

Order code
it is necessary to state the various features of fitting with groups of numbers.

The order codes mentioned in the tables correspond to fittings equiped with round rings for gas tubes and with split tapered rings for metric tubes.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1 - Deburr the end of the tube, and if necessary suppress grease, paint or varnish
2 - Assemble the components on tube in the following order :
  • nut reference 1
  • split tapered ring or round-ring reference 2 or 5
  • washer reference 3
  • o-ring reference 4
3 - Put the tube into fitting with length slightly inferior to L/2
4 - Screw the nut according to tightening torque table

Nota : Tubes must be flanged before the nut is being tightened.

Never set tube against tube.
When connecting a male side, the hexagonal part of the fitting must be tightened until it compresses the application.
The fitting must absolutely be prevented from rotation when nut is being tightened.
After tightening the whole fitting, check that the extremities of split tapered ring or round-ring are not in contact.
If they are, check the compatibility between the diameters of tube and fitting or the tolerances of tube.
